How to request deletion of your personal data from PromoSQAD

PromoSQAD respects your privacy rights and provides multiple ways to manage and delete your personal data. This page explains your options for data deletion, what happens when you delete your account, and how to contact us for specific data deletion requests.

Your Rights
Under applicable privacy laws (including GDPR, CCPA), you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. We honor these rights and provide clear processes for data deletion.

Account Deletion Options

Self-Service Account Deletion

You can delete your account directly through the platform:

Step 1: Log into your PromoSQAD account
Step 2: Navigate to Profile Settings
Step 3: Scroll to "Account Management" section
Step 4: Click "Delete Account" and confirm your choice

Email Request

If you cannot access your account or prefer to request deletion via email:

  • Send an email to privacy@promosqad.com
  • Include your account email address
  • Specify "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line
  • We will process your request within 30 days

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Personal Information: Name, email address, profile details
  • Account Data: Login credentials, preferences, settings
  • Social Media Connections: Instagram access tokens and connection data
  • Communications: Messages and notifications
  • Application History: Event applications and responses
  • Content Uploads: Images, videos, and other uploaded content

Data We May Retain

For legal, security, and business reasons, we may retain some anonymized or aggregated data:

  • Transaction Records: Payment history for accounting and tax purposes
  • Security Logs: Anonymized security and fraud prevention data
  • Analytics Data: Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics
  • Legal Compliance: Data required to be retained by applicable laws
Important Note
Any data retained is anonymized and cannot be linked back to your identity. We do not retain any personally identifiable information after account deletion.

Social Media Account Data

Instagram Integration

When you delete your PromoSQAD account:

  • We immediately delete all stored Instagram access tokens
  • Your Instagram account remains unaffected
  • Content posted to Instagram through our platform remains on Instagram
  • We lose all access to your Instagram account

Revoking Platform Access

You can also revoke PromoSQAD's access to your social media accounts independently:

  • Instagram: Go to Settings → Security → Apps and Websites → Remove PromoSQAD
  • This disconnects our platform without deleting your PromoSQAD account
  • You can reconnect later if desired

Deletion Timeline

Immediate: Account access is disabled and data is marked for deletion
Within 24 hours: Personal data is removed from active systems
Within 7 days: Data is removed from backup systems
Within 30 days: All data deletion is completed and verified
Confirmation
We will send you a confirmation email once your data deletion is complete. This process is irreversible.

Before deleting your account completely, consider these alternatives:

Account Deactivation

  • Temporarily disable your account without deleting data
  • Can be reactivated later if you change your mind
  • Your data remains secure but inactive

Selective Data Deletion

  • Delete specific types of data while keeping your account
  • Remove social media connections only
  • Clear message history or uploaded content

Privacy Settings

  • Adjust who can see your profile information
  • Limit data collection and processing
  • Opt out of non-essential communications
